Completes classroom and/or project assignments. Becomes familiar with the appropriate policies, procedures and practices of assigned unit(s) as well as Bank-wide policies and procedures. Gains knowledge of department’s unique business characteristics. Works closely with lending or retail banking staff to enhance knowledge and develop skills. Meets with manager/facilitator frequently to review progress and discuss further developmental assignments. Will be expected to meet certain thresholds/criteria and progressive advancement as defined in the Trainee’s training profile. Basic Requirements: College degree with a GPA of 3.00 or above. For New York, a GPA of 3.25 or above. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (bilingual Chinese a plus). Excellent interpersonal skills (must provide minimum three professional references). Participation in extracurricular activity (either academic or community) a plus. Proficient in MS Word and Excel. Able to travel locally and out-of-state. Self-motivated and responsible. Willingness to relocate if necessary for permanent assignments. Leadership skills a plus.
