Touch ID & Passcode Authentication

Understanding that customers want a faster and simpler banking experience, Cathay Bank introduces Touch ID and Passcode Authentication, which allow our mobile banking app users to quickly see their Account Balances and Recent Transactions by applying their fingerprint or entering a 4-digit passcode.  
 
After you have set up Touch ID or Passcode Authentication, you will still be required to enter your full log in credentials if you want to access features other than account balances, recent transactions, locations, help, and about.

Touch ID and Passcode Authentication cannot be used simultaneously.  Enabling Touch ID will disable Passcode Authentication and vice versa.

Disable Touch ID/ Passcode Authentication:
 
If you want to disable Touch ID or Passcode Authentication after you have set it up, please log in with your full credentials, then access Navigation Menu > Settings > Quick Access.  Choose the Touch ID/ Passcode Authentication option by selecting the green switch next to Touch ID or Passcode Authentication.  The bar will turn grey, and you have successfully disabled the function.

 
1. Mobile Banking is available at no additional cost.  Message and data rates may apply; contact your wireless carrier for details.  Maintenance may affect availability. 

2. Cathay Bank Mobile App is currently only available on Phone®, iPad® and AndroidTM devices.  You must enroll in Cathay Online Banking to have full access to mobile banking services.
