The 48th Annual Charity Golf Tournament took place on May 28 at Industry Hills Golf Club, bringing together over 160 golfers. The event featured challenges such as the longest drive, closest-to-the-pin, and a hole-in-one competition. To conclude the day, a post-event award dinner and raffle were held, attended by 260 guests. Since 1977, this tournament has united golfers and generous sponsors in support of Cathay Bank’s mission to make a meaningful difference in the communities it serves.

Tang, Chairman of the Cathay Bank Charity Golf Tournament Committee, and Vice Chairman of Cathay General Bancorp and Cathay Bank. “Our annual charity event is a way for us to come together and drive lasting impact.”

“I’m honored to represent the foundation on behalf of my family at this outstanding event,” said Kenyon Mayeda, the newest Board Member of the Cathay Bank Foundation and grandson of Cathay Bank’s visionary founder, George Ching. “This tournament is an important way to support the foundation’s mission and continues the legacy of my grandfather to give back and support our local nonprofits.”
